The Manley
law firm specializes in business litigation before all courts,
administrative agencies and tribunals. Bravitt Manley has practiced
for two federal agencies, represented several agencies as private
counsel and defended complex federal cases in several federal
and state courts.
About
Bravitt C. Manley, Jr.
Mr. Manley stays on the
cutting edge in his practice and demands that all those working
with him do the same. He attends continuing legal education seminars
and workshops and keeps learning. He never sits on the sidelines
or just keeps using the same old approach. He is always pushing
the envelope.
Mr. Manley attended law
school at the University of Virginia School of Law and received
his Juris Doctorate in 1984. While in law school, Mr. Manley published
an article entitled "The Legal System of Libya" in Cyclopedias
of the World. He graduated from the University of Virginia in
1981 with a B.A. in English Literature, with distinction. His
focus as an undergraduate was Victorian Literature, particularly
Tennyson and Browning.
Mr. Manley is a Navy Veteran
and enlisted in the US Navy immediately upon graduating from Manor
High School in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served in Fighter Squadron
EIGHTY-FOUR from 1973 - 1977. He was stationed at Naval Air Station
Oceana in Virginia Beach and made deployments aboard the USS ROOSEVELT
(CVA-42).
Mr. Manley loves fishing
and spends as much time as he can on the waters of Chesapeake
Bay and fishing in Hampton Roads.
